Slight uptick. Don’t expect the downward trend to reverse.
The most interesting statistic of the week is the for the first time, exports of gum rosin from Brazil in July exceeded those from China. Considering that from 2000 – 2012 the ratio was ~ 8/1 China exports/Brazil exports this is really quite a fall. This was not a one time spike. Chinese exports have been steadily, albeit erratically, declining since 2013.Gum Rosin Prices
