Slight uptick in price – just noise. The decade long decline in Chinese gum rosin production is highly likely to continue. This trend is now being discussed as a reason for prices stabilizing at about the current level: the current crop is over, next year’s crop will be lower, therefore price stability. Perhaps. As an added note, the price gap between Chinese gum rosin prices & lower hydrocarbon resin prices matched the all time high last week.
