This brief video offers a fascinating glimpse into the rosin & turpentining industry in the US in the 1940s.  The  video is an excerpt from Suwanee Pine, a film about the process of producing naval stores in the United States turpentine belt. The film details the process from the initial tapping of the pine trees through the distillation process to the numerous usages of rosin and turpentine by consumers.
